The United Nations: More than 16,000 children displaced due to flooding in Libya

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced on Friday that more than 16,000 children have been displaced in eastern Libya result of a severe storm that hit the country.

According to a report published today, UNICEF said that a larger number of children have been impacted by the lack of basic services, such as health, education, and access to safe water.
The United Nations explained that children represent nearly 40% of the population of Libya, which has been devastated by the storm.
