The Korean Cultural Center launched the new season of Korean cinema screenings, “Korea Flix,” which will continue until next November on a weekly basis.
The movie screening of “Sunset in My Hometown” began at one o’clock in the afternoon, in the presence of about 25 people who love Korean cinema.
Director of the Cultural Center, Oh Sung Ho, welcomed the attendees and expressed his happiness that Korean cinema screenings would be the center’s first cultural activities this year. He said that Korean film screenings provide the Egyptian audience with a very important window to learn about Korean customs, traditions and culture in general.
The director of the center said that the films that will be shown throughout the current year have been chosen to cover various cinematic tastes and interests, including drama, action, and romance.
The events of the movie “Sunset in My Hometown” revolve around the story of a young man who has a great passion for singing rap, despite his failure for the seventh time in his performance tests. In the midst of his grief, he receives a call that forces him to return to his hometown, which he tried to forget, where he faces many unexpected events.
At the end of the show, an open meeting was held to learn the opinions of the attendees and meet their interests and desires regarding the upcoming shows.
Korean films are scheduled to be shown every Wednesday, starting at one o’clock in the afternoon, and the center allows those wishing to attend to register their names through the following link: https://forms.gle/cVGTpuSULYbdj8hFA
