Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, praised the outcomes of the tripartite Egyptian-Jordanian-Palestinian summit held between Jordanian King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, adding that the summit stressed the priority of an immediate ceasefire and the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. Gaza, as an urgent priority, cannot tolerate any delay in dealing with the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, resulting from war crimes and genocide committed by the occupying power in the Strip and the policy of comprehensive destruction of all infrastructure facilities and basic services.
Al-Asoumi added that the summit emphasized three red lines that cannot be crossed regarding the situation in Gaza under any circumstances, and they are: rejecting the forced displacement of the Palestinian people, rejecting the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, and rejecting the reoccupation of the Gaza Strip.
Al-Asoumi stressed the Arab Parliament’s support for all Arab efforts aimed at confronting attempts to liquidate the Palestinian issue, calling for the necessity of immediately stopping the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, protecting defenseless civilians, and enabling relief and humanitarian aid to reach the Strip permanently and adequately.
