The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt expressed its serious concerns about the recent increase in military action in the Red Sea area and airstrikes targeting various areas in Yemen. They emphasized the importance of international and regional cooperation to alleviate tensions and promote stability in the region, particularly when it comes to securing navigation in the Red Sea.
Egypt is deeply alarmed by the rapid and alarming developments in the southern Red Sea and Yemen region, which they have previously warned against due to the risks of the conflict spreading.
They highlighted the necessity of a complete cessation of hostilities and putting an end to the ongoing attacks on civilian Palestinians by Israel in the Gaza Strip. Egypt stressed that this is crucial to prevent further instability, conflicts, and threats to international peace and security in the region.
