Within the framework of bilateral rapprochement and good relations between Egypt and Venezuela, Ambassador Karim Amin, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, met with Venezuelan Minister of Petroleum Pedro Rafael Techia to discuss areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and natural gas.
Ambassador Karim Amin handed the Venezuelan minister the invitation addressed to him by the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to participate as a speaker and participating member of the Global Ministerial Policy Committee in the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition “EGYPS 2024,” scheduled to be held in Cairo during the period from February 19-21, 2024.
For his part, the Venezuelan Minister praised the increasing Egyptian capabilities in the field of oil and natural gas, and the human capabilities that Egypt possesses in this field, expressing his desire to increase areas of cooperation between the two countries in this vital field, which represents a priority for both countries, and stressing his acceptance of the invitation extended to him to participate. At the EGYPS 2024 exhibition, he also expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Minister of Petroleum.
Ambassador Karim Amin stated that his meeting with Minister Techia was fruitful, and that he emphasized the political will of the two sister countries to increase areas of bilateral cooperation between them.
In another context, Ambassador Ahmed Abdel Azim presented his credentials to Liberian President George Manet Weah as Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Liberia on January 12, 2024.
The credentials presentation ceremony was followed by President Weh’s reception of the Egyptian Ambassador in the presence of the Liberian Foreign Minister.
The Egyptian Ambassador conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Liberian President, and the Egyptian side looks forward to strengthening the frameworks of cooperation between the two countries in various fields during the coming period, and maximizing the use of available capabilities in areas of mutual benefit to both sides, including the fields of agriculture, investment, education, energy and infrastructure. .
He pointed out Egypt’s keenness on mutual coordination regarding international and regional issues to achieve the common interests of both countries in facing the challenges posed by current events on the international arena.
For his part, the Liberian President asked to convey his sincere greetings and appreciation to the President of the Republic, expressing his appreciation for the historical and pivotal role of Egypt in Africa and the Middle East, stressing his sincere thanks to the Egyptian side for all aspects of technical support and training courses provided to the Liberian side to raise the efficiency of capabilities. Human resources in various government sectors.
He also expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the warm reception he and the accompanying delegation received during his participation in the climate conference held in November 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh.
