In solidarity with Palestine, the El Gouna Film Festival has been postponed to October 27–November 2, 2023. The festival was originally scheduled to take place from October 13 to 20, 2023.
The festival’s postponement is a great gesture of empathy and support for Palestinians. It is also a reminder of the importance of cinema in promoting peace and justice.
The festival organizers are using their platform to stand up for what they believe in and their central theme, “cinema for humanity,” to support a cause that is important to them. They are also hoping to use the festival to promote empathy, unity, and justice and to give a voice to those who are often unheard.
