The Arab Parliament, headed by Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, President of the Arab Parliament, will hold its second plenary session of the fourth session of the third legislative term, on Sunday, January 21, 2024 AD, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
This session will focus on discussing the current Arab situation in light of the grave challenges that the Arab world is going through, especially the latest developments in the situation in the Palestinian territories and the ongoing developments in Gaza in terms of systematic violations carried out by the occupying power and its persistence in waging an open war of genocide, and the efforts of the Arab Parliament during the last period. His intense activity at the Arab, regional and international levels and his international movements to support the Palestinian cause, in addition to the important items on the session’s agenda.
The Palestine Committee will hold its meeting on Thursday, January 18, to discuss the efforts and movements of the Arab Parliament in the previous stage and the upcoming plan of action to support the Palestinian issue as it is the first and central Arab issue.
The session of the Arab Parliament precedes the meetings of its four permanent committees on Saturday, January 20, and the Arab Parliament committees, “the Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs Committee, the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee, the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee, and the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs Committee” will discuss a number of topics. Important issues related to Arab national security, human rights issues, and social and economic issues that are in the interest of strengthening joint Arab action.
The meeting of the Arab Parliament Bureau will take place on Saturday, January 20, to discuss the agendas of the plenary session and the committee reports included in preparation for holding the activities of the plenary session of the Arab Parliament, in addition to the permanent items on its agenda.
