The Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs heads his country’s delegation participating in the extraordinary session of the Arab League

Muhammad Hussein Bahr al-Ulum, Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations, headed the delegation of the Republic of Iraq participating in the meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level for an extraordinary session on Wednesday, via video conference technology, with the membership of the Head of the Arab Department, Dr. Osama al-Rifai, and the temporary Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq. The Council issued a resolution in which it affirmed support for the security, stability, unity and sovereignty of Somalia, and support for the Somali government to preserve Somali sovereignty on land, sea and air. The Council also affirmed its full solidarity with the position of the Somali state with all its agencies, which considered the memorandum of understanding signed on 1/1/2024 between the Republic of Ethiopia and the Somaliland region are invalid, unjust and unacceptable.
