Opening of Wadi Afful Bridge in Dhofar  in the Sultanate of Oman at a cost of 3.2 million Omani Riyals

Today, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology officially opened traffic on Wadi Afful Bridge in the Wilayat of Rakhyut in the Dhofar Governorate, at a cost of about 3.2 million Omani riyals.

The scope of the project’s work included asphalt paving of approximately 1,300 kilometers, including 300 meters of a concrete bridge, 19 meters high above the ground. In addition to excavation works, side protections, and the construction of retaining walls.

It is noteworthy that the project aims to safely connect the existing road through Wadi Afful after it was damaged by recent floods and hurricanes. It is in line with the tourism and strategic trends in Dhofar Governorate.
