The Arab Parliament honored the Kuwaiti poet Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain, may God have mercy on him, with the Leadership Medal in recognition of his distinguished contributions that will be immortalized in history in the field of Arab literature, poetry and culture, and for the cultural contributions of his Abdulaziz Al-Babtain Foundation and its various programs, and for his efforts and enlightening role in the field of Arab culture and charitable work, which extended to the global sphere.
This came on the sidelines of the second general session of the Arab Parliament of the fourth session of the third legislative term, which was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
His Excellency Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, praised the pioneering role of the Abdulaziz Al-Babtain Foundation, one of the beacons of culture and science in the Arab world, and its role in enriching Arab and Islamic culture and carrying out the mission of preserving and consolidating the cultural heritage and caring for writers and intellectuals in the Arab world, to emulate this distinguished and unique experience. For the Al-Babtain Foundation, which has dedicated its efforts to advancing Arab culture and connecting generations with authentic legacies in the literary and poetic field, pointing out that an award will be launched in the name of the Kuwaiti poet Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain, which is supported by his Abdulaziz Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation.
It is noteworthy that the Leadership Medal is one of the medals awarded by the Arab Parliament to distinguished Arab figures, non-parliamentarians, who have contributed to achieving noble goals and objectives for the Arab nation.
