Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, stated to CNN in an interview that aired on Sunday that there won’t be normalization in relations with Israel without solving the Palestinian issue.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan told CNN that there could be no regular ties without a path to a credible and irreversible Palestinian state. he said, “That will be the only way we can get a benefit. So yes, because stability does not come otherwise than through resolving the Palestinian issue.” He noted that true peace and real integration with positive economic and social effects on the Middle East can only be achieved “through peace, through a credible irreversible process leading to Palestinian state.”
“We are ready, not just as Saudi Arabia but also on behalf of Arab nations to engage in that conversation. I would hope that the Israelis to be as well, but it is up to them to make that decision” this was stated by the Saudi foreign minister.
