Ahmed Aboul Gheit the secretary-general of the Arab League, emphasized the importance to halt the ongoing conflict in Gaza as soon as possible so that it doesn’t expand and get out of control. He emphasized that revenge against Gaza residents and collective punishment is illegal under international law and isn’t effective way to achieve security.
This was during Aboul Gheit’s separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Italy, Antonio Tajani, and Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, on Wednesday.
