Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Rashid Khattabi, said that the Global Entrepreneurship Forum 2024 is scheduled to be held in conjunction with the upcoming Arab Summit in Bahrain, through close cooperation with the General Secretariat and the Union of Arab Chambers.
He added during the press conference: “There is no doubt that today’s gathering reflects our true desire to shoulder our responsibility to achieve economic development with the participation of distinguished competencies, which provides room for exchanging ideas and extrapolating the obstacles facing the economic future in the Arab region.”
He pointed out the great importance of this initiative because of its real significance in achieving the sustainable development goals in light of the set of challenges that our world is going through today.
He explained that the main goal of the initiative is to enhance the capabilities of entrepreneurs to advance the mechanism of sustainable development, which requires an effective partnership between the public and private sectors, civil society and research centers. The goal is to provide job opportunities in the Arab region, by supporting small and medium enterprises, advancing development and attracting investments according to capabilities. He pointed to working on an integrated plan to improve the investment climate, to adopt mechanisms, review legislation, and benefit from digital technology. In response to the needs of working to achieve sustainable development.
