The German Foreign Ministry and the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development issued a joint statement regarding the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East “UNRWA.”

He continued that until the end of the fact-finding, Germany will not temporarily agree, in coordination with other donor countries, to any new funds for UNRWA in Gaza, adding: In any case, there are no new commitments currently pending, as humanitarian aid continues, and only a few days ago Germany increased Its funding for the International Committee of the Red Cross and UNICEF amounts to 7 million euros.
He stressed that since October 7, through humanitarian aid provided through UNRWA and development cooperation funds, Germany has funded basic supplies such as water, food, emergency shelter, hygiene and sanitation facilities, in addition to medical supplies for people in the Gaza Strip, especially for families who fled to the south.
