Ambassador Hatem El-Nashar presented his credentials to the President of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacura, during the reception ceremony that took place at the Presidential Palace in the capital, La Paz, in the presence of the Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The Egyptian ambassador conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to his Bolivian counterpart, stressing the depth of relations between the two countries, as diplomatic relations extend for more than 64 years, noting the level these relations have reached in recent years.
The Egyptian Ambassador also expressed his aspiration during the coming period to continue strengthening bilateral relations at all levels and working to develop them, as well as discussing ways to open new areas of cooperation.
For his part, the Bolivian President expressed his welcome to the Egyptian Ambassador assuming his new position, and asked to convey his greetings to the President of the Republic, expressing his aspiration for more cooperation between the two countries and joint coordination in international forums. During the meeting, the Bolivian President was also keen to learn about developments in the current situation in the Gaza Strip, as the Egyptian ambassador provided an explanation of the latest developments in the situation, reviewing the constants of the Egyptian position, whether with regard to pushing for a complete ceasefire or emphasizing the necessity of humanitarian aid access.
The Bolivian President praised the Egyptian position and support for the Palestinian cause, calling for intensifying the efforts of the international community to deal with the humanitarian catastrophe that the Palestinian people are experiencing, while working to ensure the access of aid to the Strip, and intensifying pressure to end the aggression, protect civilians, and stop displacement.
