Ambassador Tariq Ali Faraj Al Ansari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, affirmed his country’s keenness to participate in the activities of the Cairo International Book Fair, as it is one of the most important exhibitions and cultural forums in the Arab world and internationally.
Ambassador Al-Ansari said, in press statements, that Qatari participation in the Cairo International Book Fair aims to strengthen bridges of cultural communication and introduce the cultural and intellectual production of the State of Qatar.
The ambassador pointed out that the Qatari intellectual display in this year’s edition includes a selected group of intellectual works that shed light on the Qatari heritage and various fields of literature, politics and economics, such as the books “Qitaf” about selections from short stories in Qatar, and “Architecture and Society on the Pearl Island.” “, “Diplomatic protection for Qatari nationals” and “Legal protection of the worker’s life during the implementation of the employment contract.”
Al-Ansari reviewed the participation of many Qatari publishing houses, such as Dar Al-Watad and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, all of which were keen to provide a rich contribution with distinguished literary, intellectual and academic production in various knowledge sciences, including novels, law, social and human sciences, in addition to distinguished publications of children’s and young people’s books.
The Ambassador praised the sophistication and remarkable development witnessed by the exhibition in its edition this year in various organizational aspects and the unprecedented public turnout, thanking those in charge of organizing the book fair and the tremendous efforts they made in organizing and preparing to bring it out in its best form.
