UAE sends maritime hospital and 10 ambulances for Palestinians

Emirates News Agency stated on Thursday that the UAE has launched a maritime hospital heading for Al Arish in Egypt to provide crucial medical aid for Palestinians in Gaza.

They also stated that the hospital, which departs from Khalifa Port, is operated by a team of 100 specialists from various specialties, including anesthesia, general surgery, orthopedics, and emergency medicine, as well as nurses and paramedics.

The field hospital can accommodate 100 patients and is well equipped with operating rooms, intensive care units, radiology departments, laboratories, pharmacies, and medical storage areas. It also has an evacuation helicopter, a medical evacuation boat, and ambulances, all equipped with innovative medical technology.

The facility is in accordance with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan’s directions, and it aims to assist Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as part of the Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian mission. It was developed by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi and AD Ports Group to supplement the 200 bed UAE field hospital in Gaza.
