The caretaker Interior Minister of Pakistan announced the conclusion of the polling process in light of the general security situation throughout Pakistan in general being stable after the peaceful holding of free and fair elections.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Embassy in Cairo, the Pakistani Interior Minister said: I appreciate the unwavering dedication and professionalism of our security forces, law enforcement agencies and police personnel. These forces have been deployed on a large scale and in large numbers, to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process, which constitutes a testimony. For their commitment to democracy for the people of Pakistan.
He added: We extend our special congratulations to all the security personnel who played a crucial role in providing a peaceful voting environment, as their deployment covered even the most remote areas of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Interior Sindh, and Punjab, which confirms our commitment to ensuring every citizen’s right to vote in a safe atmosphere.
He added that despite some isolated incidents, the overall situation remained under control, which demonstrates the effectiveness of our security measures.
He noted that the smooth completion of the polling process confirmed the commitment of the Pakistani armed forces, security forces and law enforcement agencies to provide a peaceful environment for voters and enable them to exercise their democratic right without fear.
