The Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Cairo emphasizes the historical ties and relations between his country and Egypt

Ambassador Mansurbek Kylychev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan in Cairo, stressed that there are historical ties and relations between Egypt and Uzbekistan, and that these relations form the basis for developing cooperation relations between the two countries in various political, economic, tourism, investment and cultural fields.

This came during his participation in the symposium held at the Egyptian Public Library, in cooperation with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo, to present and present the book “The Uzbeks in Egypt” by Dr. Ahmed Abdo Tarabik – a researcher in the affairs of Central Asia and the Caucasus.

The symposium was attended by Ambassador Reda Al-Taifi, Chairman of the Egyptian Public Libraries Fund, Counselor Hamdi Abu Al-Enein, First Undersecretary of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Galal Al-Hafnawy, former Head of the Department of Oriental Languages ​​at the Faculty of Arts at Cairo University, Dr. Nourhan Al-Sheikh, Professor of Political Science at Cairo University, and Atabek Alimov. Cultural Advisor at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Cairo.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan said in his speech: This book that we are presenting today reflects the historical relations between the two countries, expressing his wishes to increase relations in various fields that are constantly growing stronger and stronger, and which were strengthened by the visit of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Uzbekistan in 2018, and the visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. To Egypt in 2023.

For his part, Counselor Hamdi Abu Al-Enein confirmed that there is a new thought in Uzbekistan and a change in the field of industry, and their basic rule was how to develop the country, adding that the Uzbek people are a developed people.

He added, “We need more effective joint cooperation,” pointing out that there is an international representation center in all sectors in Egypt through which all the special conditions for cooperation between the two countries in all fields can be identified and developed.

Dr. Ahmed Tarabik gave a presentation of the book “The Uzbeks in Egypt,” which deals with the history of the leaders who came to Egypt from the country of Uzbekistan, led by Ahmed ibn Tulun, the founder of the Tulunid state, Muhammad ibn Tughj al-Ikhshid, the founder of the Tulunid state, Ahmad al-Farghani, the architect who established the Nilometer, and Yusuf Uzbek.
