The Russian Cultural Center in Cairo is organizing, at six in the evening today, Sunday, a meeting with a delegation of Russian travelers on their first visit to Egypt.
The delegation consists of Dmitry Kuznetsov, a physicist and founder of the sailing school, Konstantin Vasiliev, who participates in the World Sailing Championships, and Vladimir Dudkin, head of the Scientific Research Department at Moscow University.
The delegation also includes Alexei Iganyev, who has been a sea and ocean traveler for 30 years and has visited 120 countries, and Nikita Konov, a director and cinematographer who makes films about sea and ocean travelers.
This adventurous group was able to establish the Five Oceans Club, and they traveled nearly 30,000 nautical miles under sail, visited 23 countries on 4 continents, and participated in famous ship races.
The Five Oceans Club now includes 100 members from all over the world, including the famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov, who made a trip around the world by sea alone 5 times, and in the first visit of a team of Russian travelers to Egypt in their desire to find new friends for the Five Oceans Club and talk about expeditions and difficulties. that they encountered in the seas and oceans, including talking about the scientific activities carried out on board the sailboat within the framework of cooperation with the Marine Research Center of Moscow State University.
The meeting will begin with the showing of a rare documentary film about the adventures of the Five Oceans Club. The dialogue with the delegation will be accompanied by Arabic translation.
