According to Ministry of youth and sports official page, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, congratulated the Egyptian Swimming Federation, led by Engineer Yasser Edris, the Board of Directors, and all members of the Egyptian team delegation via video call, praising the team for their new accomplishment that contributes to Egyptian swimming.
Egypt placed 31st with two bronze medals, returning to the medal table after a five-year absence.
Egyptian champion Maha Amer earned the first bronze medal at the World Championships, diving from a moving platform at a height of one meter to win a historic medal for Egypt.
Swimmer Farida Osman continued to perform well, collecting the bronze medal in the 50m butterfly race in 25.67 seconds, her third medal in her World Championships record.
