Today, the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Cairo celebrated the sixty-third National Day, which marks the anniversary of the state’s independence and the date of the accession of the late Prince Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as Emir of the State of Kuwait, which coincides with the celebration of the thirty-third anniversary of Liberation Day as well.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Ghanem Saqr Al-Ghanim, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Cairo, stressed the importance of the National Day and the Liberation Day and the national significance it carries that embodies the history of the country, which is steadily moving towards growth and prosperity, as it gains special importance with the beginning of a new era with Prince Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. , which carries hopes and aspirations towards greater prosperity for Kuwait and its people.
Al-Ghanem stressed that Egypt and Kuwait are united by deep fraternal and strategic ties and relations, which is confirmed by the extended history of cooperation at all levels, which is witnessing steady growth and prosperity in parallel with the increasing strength of relations between the two countries.
Al-Ghanem explained the remarkable developments in the areas of cooperation between the two countries, stressing that this confirms the strategic nature of these relations, as the leaderships of the two countries seek to strengthen these relations and develop joint projects, in addition to the convergence of visions on fundamental and important issues in the region.
The ambassador pointed out that bilateral cooperation between the two countries records positive developments in all areas of cooperation, and perhaps this is what demonstrates the strategic nature of these relations, which the leadership of the two countries emphasizes on all occasions, and they strive diligently to strengthen it and push it forward through a series of joint cooperation programmes. Which is not limited only to the political and economic aspects, but extends to include other areas of interest to the two brotherly countries.
The ambassador added that economic cooperation between the two countries has witnessed great development over the past few years, and that Kuwait is at the forefront of investment within Egypt, which contributes to the development process and occupies an advanced position in the ranking of Arab and international investments in sister Egypt.
The ambassador stressed that Egypt was and continues to be a destination for Kuwaiti investments, and we hope that these investments and the volume of cooperation will increase during the coming period.
The ambassador continued: We carry in our hearts and minds feelings of friendliness and respect for Egypt, and we value the strategic partnership and historical bilateral relations, and we have not forgotten Egypt’s honorable positions in support of Kuwait since the war and throughout the development process.
The ambassador congratulated the Egyptians on President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi assuming a new presidential term, continuing: We also remember Kuwait’s positions in support of Egypt in the 1967 and October 1973 wars, and we also have a distinguished and important strategic partnership that is getting stronger day after day.
