Sudanese Ambassador: Al-Burhan’s visit to Cairo comes in the context of communication between the leaderships of the two countries

Ambassador Mohamed Abdullah Ali Al-Tom, Charge d’Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo, confirmed that the visit of General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, to Cairo today and his discussions with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and senior Egyptian officials will focus on ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing regional and international issues.Of common interest.

Ambassador Muhammad Abdullah Ali Al-Toum said – in a statement today – that the visit comes in the context of continuous communication between the leadership of the two countries, and their keenness to continue consultation and discussion on everything that concerns the two brotherly countries, given the distinguished bilateral relations, and the ties of blood and geography that unite the Sudanese and Egyptian people.

And the common history, adding that this peculiarity is confirmed by the hospitality and good reception enjoyed by the Sudanese who recently arrived in sister Egypt.

Ambassador Mohamed Al-Tom indicated that the visit also confirms the importance Sudan attaches to its relations with sister Egypt and its keenness to develop them in all areas of bilateral cooperation, given the strategic and security depth Egypt represents for the country with its location and regional and international weight, as well as its efforts to restore stability and security in Sudan. Considering that it is one of the countries most affected by what is happening in Sudan and has a real interest in its stability and security.

He said that it is known that sister Egypt, based on this understanding, led, arranged and hosted the first summit of neighboring countries last July and the resulting mechanisms concerned with addressing the crisis in Sudan.
