In key statements in his annual message to the Russian Federal Assembly, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, announced a call for dialogue with the United States on issues of strategic stability.
Putin said that Russia is open to holding a dialogue with the United States, to unify global efforts in confronting the challenges the world is witnessing, especially the rapid transformations in the global economy, trade, finance, and technology markets.
Putin pointed out that the world is witnessing the collapse of many previous monopolies and old models related to them, expecting that in 2028, new countries will join the BRICS, and they will include about 37% of global output, while the G7 contribution will be less than 28%.
Putin stressed cooperation with friendly countries in establishing effective and safe logistical corridors and promoting a new global financial structure free of political interference and built on advanced technology.
Putin stressed that Russia enjoys good, long-term relations with the Arab countries, which represent a distinct civilization from North Africa to the Middle East, and are developing dynamically, and we are looking with them for new points of contact with our Arab friends for a deeper partnership.
Putin noted cooperation with Latin American countries on the basis of equality and respect for mutual interests, noting that more countries have joined the Eurasian Economic Community, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS.
Putin saw great prospects in building a strong Eurasian partnership that combines integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union and China’s “One Belt, One Road” initiative, especially since the heat is developing positively between Russia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Putin continued: The Russian-African summits have become a real achievement, as the African continent declares its interests and right to sovereignty, and we wholeheartedly support all these aspirations.
Putin predicted that by 2030, the production of the Russian agricultural industrial complex will increase by at least a quarter compared to 2021, and exports should increase by one and a half times.
Putin noted that the increase in unfounded accusations against Russia, and that it is planning to place nuclear weapons in space, and described them as allegations or rumours, aims as a means of pressuring Russia to come to the negotiating table on terms that are not beneficial to Russia, and serve the interests of the United States only.
Putin concluded his statements by stressing that threats related to NATO’s expansion towards the east and the accession of Sweden and Finland to the alliance will be addressed.
