Qatar and the United Nations are discussing accelerating the arrival of aid to the Gaza Strip

The Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Khulaifi, stressed the necessity of opening humanitarian corridors in a sustainable manner to ensure the continued entry of aid to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern Gaza Strip.

During a meeting between the Minister of State in the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths, today, Friday, the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories were discussed, and the United Nations mechanism to accelerate the arrival of humanitarian relief shipments to the Palestinian people inside. sector.

Al-Khulaifi stressed the importance of strengthening regional and international efforts aimed at an immediate ceasefire, expressing Qatar’s support for United Nations efforts in this regard.

For his part, Griffiths expressed his thanks to Qatar for its continued support for the United Nations and its humanitarian and relief agencies, and for its efforts in the mediation process in Gaza.

These talks come in light of the escalating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, where more than 2 million Palestinians suffer from a severe shortage of food, medicine, and basic supplies.
