The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn” explained and clarified its vision of strengthening Oman’s position as a leading regional center for manufacturing, information and communications technology, entrepreneurship, innovation and excellence in attracting industrial investments and providing support to the investor through regional and global competitive strategies, good infrastructure, value-added services and easy government procedures.
Madayn is based on achieving a set of goals represented in attracting foreign investments to invest in the Sultanate of Oman, localizing national capital, and stimulating the private sector to contribute to achieving sustainable and comprehensive economic and social development, in addition to introducing modern technology and providing workers with the technical skill necessary to develop their production and create new job opportunities, in addition to To encourage exports, develop international trade, encourage the establishment of export industries, and stimulate the economic sectors operating in the Sultanate of Oman, such as the transportation sector, the banking sector, the tourism sector, and other sectors.
“Madayn” includes the Suwaiq Industrial City project, which is an integrated industrial city with all infrastructure services that serves and contributes to the development of various industries in the North Al Batinah Governorate, by encouraging the private sector and contributing to the economic development of the Sultanate of Oman and in line with Oman Vision 2040, where the objectives are evident.
The project aims to boost the economy, enhance industrialization, provide job opportunities, enhance competitiveness, attract domestic and foreign investments, enhance technology and artificial intelligence, and increase the production base.
Madayn also includes the Rusayl Industrial City expansion project (Phase 2A). The project is an extension of the current industrial city from the southern side. The project is being built on an area of 2.4 million square meters in a mountainous area of varying heights, and aims to develop the industrial city’s internal road network and infrastructure facilities. The basic electricity, water, communications, rainwater drainage and sewage networks and other services, to meet the requirements of investment, industrial and logistical growth in the industrial city.
