In implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to continue the air bridge to transport urgent humanitarian aid to the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, a number of Egyptian and Emirati military transport planes took off from Al-Arish Airport to carry out night air drops of tens of tons of urgent aid and relief materials to alleviate the humanitarian crisis. The acute illnesses suffered by Palestinian citizens in northern Gaza.
The aid included large quantities of food supplies, medicines, and urgent needs that were dropped by air in various areas of the northern Gaza Strip, which lack the basic necessities of life as a result of the continued military operations.
This comes within the framework of efforts made in coordination with all active regional and international forces to achieve calm and implement urgent aid to alleviate the humanitarian pandemic inside the Gaza Strip.
The Joint Operations Command of the UAE Ministry of Defense announced the launch of Operation “Birds of Goodness” to drop humanitarian and relief aid using UAE Air Force aircraft and Egyptian Air Force aircraft over the northern Gaza Strip to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians as a result of the war and to help them overcome the difficult circumstances they are going through.
The UAE Ministry of Defense said in its account on the “X” website: “Operation Birds of Goodness comes within the framework of Operation Gallant Knight for Humanity 3, which was launched on November 5, 2023, based on the orders of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.”
She added: “Operation Birds of Goodness, which will continue for several weeks, embodies the high level of joint Emirati-Egyptian coordination to support the residents of Gaza. The operation also comes within the framework of Arab and humanitarian solidarity to help the Palestinian people in light of the critical circumstances they face.”
The UAE continues to send aid to the Gaza Strip
The Ministry continued: “The operation was carried out by joint crews from both countries, via 3 planes carrying about 36 tons of food and medical aid to the areas of Jabalia and Beit Lahia, where it was dropped off using dedicated boxes equipped with GPS-guided packages, with the aim of delivering it to the specified locations and within the timings.” “Necessary.”
She continued: “It is expected that this operation will accelerate the arrival of urgent aid to those in need in northern Gaza as soon as possible, with the aim of alleviating their suffering and providing them with the necessary support in these difficult circumstances.”
