The Sultanate of Oman affirmed in its speech before the League of Arab States that the freedom and security of the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination in an independent state is a matter of issues, and the Sultanate of Oman will always remain a supporter of Palestinian rights.
This came during a speech by Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Egypt. Its permanent representative to the League of Arab States, and the head of the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman participating in the 161st session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the level of foreign ministers, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League in Cairo.
Ambassador Al-Rahbi, head of the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation, stressed the need to conduct an independent investigation into the Israeli aggression and prosecute Israel for its deliberate targeting of civilians in the Gaza Strip and their facilities, depriving the Palestinian population of their humanitarian needs, starving them, and subjecting them to siege and collective punishment.
Al-Rahbi pointed out that the Sultanate of Oman is following with great concern the continuing escalation in the region without a solution, while the unjust Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip is claiming tens of thousands of innocent civilians, martyred and wounded, including children, youth and women, pointing out that the Sultanate of Oman confirms that the establishment of a Palestinian state is a necessity. Existentialism, without which the world would have condemned the Palestinians to be under constant threat of destitution, extermination and death.
Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, the Sultanate of Oman’s ambassador to Egypt, called for the necessity of holding an urgent international conference that brings together international parties to reach executive agreements that guarantee a quick and effective solution, provided that the conference includes all components of Palestinian society without exception.
The Sultanate of Oman’s delegation participating in the ministerial session included Ambassador Sheikh Faisal bin Omar Al Marhoon, Head of the Arab Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; And a number of those concerned with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
