The French Ambassador to Cairo, Eric Chevalier, said that on the occasion of International Women’s Day, we salute women in Egypt, France and all over the world, especially those who face difficulties because “they are all inspirations.”
This came in the speech delivered by the French Ambassador during the celebration he held on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
At the beginning of his speech, the Ambassador welcomed the attendees who were keen to participate in celebrating International Women’s Rights Day everywhere.
He said that on this day we think of women who are victims of conflicts all over the world, especially in the Gaza Strip. He called on the audience to adhere to a minute of silence for their souls.
The ambassador added that women’s rights are not a battle between men and women, but rather for equality, which is necessary, pointing to the importance of feminist diplomacy.
The celebration was attended by an elite group of society women, pioneering women in all fields, female journalists, media professionals, and a number of society men.
