A British House of Commons delegation inspects the route of transporting aid to Gaza

The delegation of members of the British House of Commons, headed by Elissa Alexander Cairns, Chairman of the Committee, visited North Sinai Governorate, in the presence of Gareth Bailey, the British Ambassador to Egypt, where it arrived at Al-Arish International Airport on a private plane coming from Cairo.

The delegation began its visit to North Sinai Governorate by visiting the wounded Palestinians at Al-Arish General Hospital and inspecting the hospital departments, in the presence of Dr. Tariq Shoka, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the governorate, and Dr. Ahmed Mansour, Director-General of the hospital.

The delegation also inspected the aid for the Gaza Strip at the Red Crescent’s logistical warehouses in the city of Arish, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Zayed, head of the Egyptian Red Crescent branch in North Sinai, and Lotfi Ghaith, director of operations at the Egyptian Red Crescent.

The delegation held a meeting with members of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the United Nations team in the conference hall of a tourist hotel in the city of Al-Arish.
