Mr. Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, made a short working visit to the German capital, Berlin, to view the Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion at the Berlin International Tourism Exchange Exhibition in its 24th session, and what the pavilion included in introducing the tourism components enjoyed by the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman and the natural and biological diversity. Which abounds, in addition to various sports activities, traditional arts and crafts, and the authentic traditions of Omani civilization. His Excellency praised the participation of small and medium enterprises in this global exhibition in the heart of Europe and their pioneering role in innovation and innovation and the diversity of services they offer.
His Excellency also reviewed the investment opportunities offered in the tourism sector, which reflects the Sultanate’s commitment and openness to various investments and partnerships in this vital cultural, economic and humanitarian sector.
Confirming the Sultanate of Oman’s deserving of this privilege, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his pride in the role of the Sultanate of Oman as an official partner of the Berlin International Travel and Tourism Exhibition, as well as his gratitude for the efforts made to enhance the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman and develop it within the main axes of the Oman 2040 Vision, and that This sector represents one of the pillars of sustainable economic development, stressing that the Sultanate of Oman provides a unique and attractive tourism experience that combines modernity, the ancient Omani cultural heritage, picturesque nature, and generous Omani hospitality.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also expressed that the renewed renaissance led by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, may God protect and preserve him, is proceeding with steady steps and a wise, inspiring vision that is primarily in the service and interest of Oman and the future of economic and social development, and that the tourism sector today is witnessing continuous growth and has great potential. The components and capabilities necessary to attract more tourists and investments in this field. His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and all those working in the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman, and their activity and continuous contributions towards enhancing the position of the Sultanate of Oman as a distinguished tourist destination on the global level. His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs also praised the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Berlin and its role within the framework of partnership with various relevant parties in organizing and making the official sponsorship of the Sultanate of Oman successful in this year’s Berlin International Travel and Tourism Exhibition.
It is noteworthy that the Berlin International Tourism Exchange is one of the most prominent international exhibitions and witnesses active participation from many countries and international travel and tourism companies. In this context, His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs appreciated the facilities provided by the competent authorities in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the German Embassy in Muscat, which contributed greatly to the success of this global and exemplary Omani participation in the aforementioned exhibition.
