Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky congratulated the Muslims of Ukraine and all the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, which comes in the midst of the war that Kiev is waging against Russia.
Zelensky said through his account on the X platform: “Ramadan Mubarak to all Muslims in Ukraine and around the world with the advent of the holy month.”
The Ukrainian president added: “Unfortunately, the month of Ramadan this year in Ukraine was overshadowed by war and ongoing suffering.”
He continued: “We hope that this holy month will bring us closer to achieving a just and equitable peace, not only for Ukrainians, but for all peoples who are currently suffering from the scourge of war.”
Zelensky pointed out that humanity is capable of achieving a level of unity that guarantees justice and protects life from wars.
