Romania provides aid to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza

Romania announced the provision of medical equipment and products worth $80,000 to the Jordanian field hospital in the Gaza Strip.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: During these difficult times that the entire region is going through, Romania remains committed to alleviating the humanitarian situation in Gaza and avoiding more deaths among innocent people.

Given our strong relations with key partners in the region, and their pivotal role in addressing the crisis, Romania decided to provide medical equipment and products worth $80,000 to the Jordanian field hospital in the Gaza Strip.

The statement continued: Through this work, Romania stands in solidarity with the efforts of the heroic medical teams working in Gaza.

He added, “We remain focused on the situation on the ground and will continue to reinforce the need to find long-term peace in the Middle East, on the basis of international law and the two-state solution.”

The Israeli aggression against Gaza destroyed nearly half of the buildings in the Strip and turned the Palestinian enclave into an “uninhabitable” place, according to what the United Nations announced.

The UN agency estimates that even if the reconstruction process begins immediately and Gaza returns to the average growth rate of 0.4 percent it has witnessed in the past 15 years, it will take seven decades for the Palestinian enclave to return to the level of GDP it recorded in 2022. .

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development stated in a report that “the level of destruction resulting from the latest Israeli military operation has made the Gaza Strip uninhabitable.”

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development estimated that by the end of November, 37,379 buildings, equivalent to 18 percent of the total buildings in the Gaza Strip, had been destroyed or damaged.
