Ankara’s Ambassador to Cairo: The holy month of Ramadan is received with the same warmth in Egypt and Turkey

Today, Thursday, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Shen, the Turkish ambassador to Cairo, held an iftar with the participation of more than 500 members of the Egyptian people, in cooperation with the Wafaa Association for Development and Social Solidarity.

The ambassador said, in his speech on the sidelines of the iftar ceremony, that the holy month of Ramadan is received with the same warmth in Egypt and Turkey, and that the Egyptian and Turkish people share the same culture, expressing his joy at sharing iftar with some of the families of the brotherly and friendly Egyptian people.

He stressed that he feels surrounded by his family, noting that the month of Ramadan represents an important opportunity for all family members to come together in Egypt and Turkey.

The ambassador congratulated Egyptian mothers on the occasion of Mother’s Day, saying: I congratulate all our mothers who devoted their lives to their families and who also taught us tolerance, sharing, solidarity, love and respect.

The ambassador explained at the iftar ceremony, which was held with the participation of some Egyptian journalists, that the Palestinian mothers who buried their children who lost their lives in Gaza are a symbol of patience and sacrifice, and that Turkey continues to support the people of Gaza during the month of Ramadan and will continue to heal their wounds by providing aid in full cooperation with Egypt.
