President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi discussed with his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, in Cairo, the regional situation, especially in the Gaza Strip, according to the Egyptian presidency.
The Egyptian presidency explained in a statement that President Sisi received Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, and they held a fraternal meeting to discuss ways to strengthen distinguished bilateral relations and the regional situation, especially in the Gaza Strip.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, at Cairo International Airport.
The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the President and the great guest of Egypt held a discussion session that dealt with ways to enhance the paths of distinguished bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries and promising opportunities to expand its horizons to broader levels, in a way that enhances the deep partnership between the two countries in various economic, investment, development, and political fields.
The discussions also witnessed a review of all regional issues of common interest, especially the intensified efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the implementation of humanitarian aid in quantities sufficient to reduce the burden of great human suffering in the Strip. The necessity of activating the two-state solution as a way to achieve justice, security and stability in the region was also stressed.
After the end of the discussions, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was keen to bid farewell to his brothers, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, from Cairo International Airport.
The Emirates News Agency, WAM, said earlier on Saturday that Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed arrived in Cairo on a “fraternal visit.”
