Ambassador Bayoumi, former assistant minister of foreign affairs, asserted that the Sinai region has long been a target of external ambitions, a trend that has persisted for centuries. He further explained that Western powers have consistently positioned Israel as the region’s dominant military force in order to protect their own interests.
The former assistant minister of foreign affairs stated that there is a clear double standard in dealing with the Palestinian issue, adding that the Arab perspective has contributed to bring the Palestinian crisis into balance.
Bayoumi noted that Israel has a significant control over the Palestinian economy, pointing out that the foreign minister came with aid to the Zionist entity worth $14 billion.
