Former Assistant Secretary of State: We still have a lot to do to develop our relationship with China

Ambassador Ali El-Hafny, Vice President of the Egyptian-Chinese Friendship Association, said that he followed the development of Egyptian-Chinese relations in the media field and other related fields.

He added that since he was appointed Egypt’s ambassador to China in 2001, and before that when he established the African-Chinese Cooperation Forum in 2000, in which he participated in its work in Beijing, and then since the establishment of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum in 2004, and his assumption of the position of Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Asian Affairs, he has witnessed… The great amount of achievement that has been achieved over the period since the beginning of Egyptian-Chinese relations in 1956 until today, and we can be proud of what has been achieved.

This came during the presentation ceremony of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s book on governance and administration, today, Wednesday, in Cairo, in the presence of Du Changyuan, Chairman of the Chinese International Media Group, Liao Liqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, Dr. Essam Sharaf, former Prime Minister of Egypt, and Ambassador Hussein.

Al-Hindawi, Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and a representative of the President of the National Media Authority, Mohamed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers Union, and Sama Suleiman, Undersecretary of the Foreign, African and Arab Affairs Committee in the Senate.
