The ceremony to present Chinese President Xi Jinping’s book on governance and administration began today in Cairo, in the presence of Du Changyuan, Chairman of the China International Media Group, Liao Liqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, Dr. Essam Sharaf, former Prime Minister of Egypt, and Ambassador Hussein Al-Hindawi, Secretary-General. Assistant to the League of Arab States, and a representative of the President of the National Media Authority, Mohamed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers Union, and Sama Suleiman, Undersecretary of the Foreign, African and Arab Affairs Committee in the Senate.
In his speech, Hussein Zein, Chairman of the National Media Authority, stressed that the conference is important and strengthens Egyptian-Chinese relations, continuing: “We always welcome all steps that would support these relations.”
He added that the National Media Authority is proud of its participation in this conference, which contributes to enhancing Chinese-Egyptian exchanges on management and governance and achieving an increase in knowledge about Chinese internal and foreign policies.
He said that on the part of the National Media Authority, there is an active role in supporting these steps and highlighting them through National Media radio and channels.
He continued: At the level of the National Media Authority, there is constructive and fruitful cooperation in various media fields with Chinese media institutions with distinguished, professional and highly professional expertise.
We also held cultural and artistic demonstrations together in cooperation with the Chinese Cultural Center with the aim of learning about the ancient civilization and culture of the two great peoples of Egypt and China, and we look forward to more.
Effective cooperation to achieve cultural, media and economic returns.
He added: We continuously strive together and coordinate all efforts and policies, to produce cultural and knowledge that enhances Egyptian-Chinese relations, wishing success for this important conference.
