On Tuesday, the Turkish Embassy in Cairo organized an event within the framework of the April 23 Children’s and National Sovereignty Day celebrations, and the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, at the residence of the Turkish Ambassador to Cairo, Salih Mutlu Şen.

The Palestinian Ambassador to Cairo, Diab Al-Louh, thanked the Turkish Ambassador and the Turkish Embassy for organizing the meeting in solidarity with the Palestinian children in Gaza, Jerusalem, and throughout the Palestinian territories.

The ambassador said: On behalf of the Embassy of Palestine, I extend my warmest congratulations on the occasion of Turkish Independence and Sovereignty Day and Turkish Children’s Day, which we consider Arab Children’s Day as well.

The ambassador also thanked the Republic of Turkey, President Erdogan, the Turkish government, and Turkish society for the historical and authentic support they provided to the Palestinian people and the running of relief convoys that provide a helping hand to the Palestinian people everywhere.
He continued: We are in full partnership with Turkey to face the challenges facing our people, and we are sending a message from the Turkish embassy to the children of Palestine that the children of Turkey are with them.

The ambassador added, “The Palestinian people are alive because you are in Turkey, Egypt, the Arab nation, and the free people of the world are with the Palestinian people. We hope from the bottom of our hearts that this evening will carry a message for all the children of Palestine because they have the right to live in freedom, dignity, and humanity, like the children of the world.”

He said: Our people are strong, steadfast and cohesive by remaining on their land, adding, we wish safety for all our Palestinian people who are subjected to this ongoing aggression – Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine.

We will not repeat the mistakes of the past and we will remain on our land, as Abu Mazen said, and our children dream of a bright tomorrow and hope for freedom, stability and peace.

The ambassador concluded his speech by saying: With your continued support, we will reach Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine, and pray together in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
