The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Georgia in Cairo and the Governor of Aswan sign a tourism promotion agreement

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Georgian Embassy in Egypt, Mikhail Tegeshvili, met with the Governor of Aswan, Major General Ashraf Attia, to coordinate the signing of a fraternal agreement between the cities of Aswan and Svaneti and to promote tourism in the picturesque city of Aswan for Georgian tourists coming to Egypt, not limited to beach tourism.

The two parties also discussed the possibility of cooperation in the field of quarry resources of granite and marble.

It is noteworthy that Tegeshvili held a meeting last November with the governor, and several points were agreed upon, and the necessary measures were taken for them to be implemented as soon as possible.

Coordination has been made with major companies and investors in Georgia to benefit from Aswan granite and marble, in addition to tourism companies organizing visits and trips to Aswan to visit its tourist attractions, as well as Georgia’s desire to cooperate in the field of higher education and communicate with Aswan University for cooperation and exchange of experiences and students, for example, the sector Medical Dentistry and Nursing in Georgia.

Tegeshvili extended his sincere thanks to the Governor of Aswan for the warm reception, and his aspiration for expanding horizons of cooperation between the two friendly countries.

At the end of the meeting, the Governor of Aswan presented the governorate’s shield to the Chargé d’Affaires of the Georgian Embassy in appreciation of the efforts made to consolidate bilateral relations between the two countries.
