On Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message of congratulations to Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the rotating president of the Arab League Summit, on the occasion of holding the 33rd Arab League Summit in Manama.
In his message, Xi noted that the Arab League has long been committed to strengthening the unity and self-reliance of the Arab world and supporting peace, stability and development in the Middle East. He added that, over the past few years, the Arab countries have committed themselves to independence, promoted development and revitalization, committed themselves to equity and justice, and maintained On regional peace and stability, and played an important role in promoting solidarity, cooperation and protecting common interests in the “Global South”.
Xi stressed that Chinese-Arab relations are currently going through the best period in history.
In December 2022, Xi attended the first China-Arab Summit with Arab leaders. Over the past year, China and the Arab countries have deepened mutual political trust and achieved fruitful results in cooperation in various fields. Xi added that China is ready to work with Arab countries to continue to push forward the spirit of China-Arab friendship, build a high-level China-Arab community with a shared future, and contribute to building a community with a shared future for humanity. At the end of this month, the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum will be held in Beijing.
It is hoped that the two sides will seize the 10th Ministerial Meeting as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in various fields and better benefit the Chinese people and the Arab peoples.
