The K-Pop Festival concludes the Korean Culture Week at the Opera House

Amidst a large audience of different age groups, the Korean Cultural Center concluded its cultural week yesterday at the Opera House, where the open-air theater hosted the 2024 K-Pop Festival.

Eight groups participated in the festival in the singing and motor performance categories, in addition to four performances by participants in the K-Boy Academy, which was hosted by the Academy of Arts during the period from April 29 to May 14.

The festival began its program with a speech by Korean Ambassador Kim Young-hyun, in which he expressed his gratitude to the Opera House for its successful hosting of the Korean Culture Week, and he also thanked all participants for their passion for Korean culture.

The Korean ambassador said that another Korean Culture Week will be organized later this year under the title K-Music, where the public will be able to taste Korean rhythms and music.

After the participating teams presented their outstanding performances, which were greatly appreciated by the audience, the jury, consisting of the Korean Ambassador and Dr. Lamia Zayed, President of the Opera House, Dr. Ahlam Younis, former president of the Academy of Arts, awarded the three festival awards to Taif Abdullah in third place in the singing category and the Glitch Gang team in second place in performance, while the Bitter Sweet team won first place in performance.

The festival concluded with a speech by the Korean ambassador in which he thanked all the participants and expressed his hope that one of the winners would be able to qualify to participate in the World K-Pop Festival in Korea.
