The Ambassadors of France and Germany in Cairo attended the conclusion of the second edition of the Festival of Music and Environment in Egypt, whose activities in Alexandria and Cairo allowed several local and international artists to showcase different types of music.
In addition to this rich musical programme, Al-Azhar Park in Cairo hosted, throughout the days of June 22 and 23, pavilions displaying environmental products as well as discussions between actors from the public and private sectors regarding environmental issues.
Since 1982, more than a thousand cities in the world have organized music festivals on June 21 of each year after the French Ministry of Culture came up with the idea of dedicating a day in which live music is played and the atmosphere is available to everyone.
