 During His Meeting with the President of the Supreme Constitutional Court, the Minister of Legal Affairs Highlights the Court’s Pioneering Role in Upholding Rights and Freedoms

Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication, visited Counselor Boulos Fahmy, President of the Supreme Constitutional Court, at the court’s headquarters in Maadi.

During the meeting, the Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication expressed his admiration for the Supreme Constitutional Court and its esteemed judges, viewing with complete respect the judgments issued by the court that correctly interpret the constitution, delineating the boundaries between what is constitutional and what is not.

The meeting also discussed the pioneering role of the Supreme Constitutional Court in upholding and protecting rights and freedoms across all areas of human rights—political, economic, and social—in accordance with the Egyptian constitution and relevant international agreements.

Counselor Boulos Fahmy, President of the Supreme Constitutional Court, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the visit from Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, congratulating him on his new position and wishing him continued success.

Minister Mahmoud Fawzy also visited Counselor Hosni Abdel Latif, President of the Court of Cassation and Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, at the Court of Cassation headquarters.

Counselor Hosni Abdel Latif welcomed Minister Mahmoud Fawzy, thanked him for the visit, and congratulated him on his new position, wishing him ongoing success.

During the visit, the Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication emphasized the ministry’s respect for the judiciary and its close ties with the judicial authority, noting that he is a product of the judiciary. He highlighted that the judiciary forms a solid foundation for justice and fairness, which are key pillars of the Egyptian state.

Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy added that cooperation will be at the highest level to serve the interests of the nation and its citizens.
