Koller: We achieved a deserved victory against Pyramids and I thank Al-Ahly fans

Marcel Koller, the head coach of the first football team at Al-Ahly Club, said that Al-Ahly achieved a deserved victory over Pyramids in the match that took place this evening as part of the Premier League competition.

He explained during the press conference: “The match was difficult, but we managed to completely control the game and created many chances. I thank the players for their efforts during the match and congratulate the fans on this victory.”

He added: “The win was very important, but the competition is still ongoing and cannot be decided until we secure enough points to win the league. There are 8 tough matches left for Al-Ahly against teams with a winning ambition, so we will continue to work seriously to achieve our goals.”

Koller pointed out that Al-Ahly is achieving victories despite significant difficulties, including match pressure, injuries, and lack of enough time for rest or proper training.

He noted that the Al-Ahly fans deserve praise and appreciation for their presence and encouragement, as they were the number one player, and the entire Al-Ahly system was strongly present and delivered a battle to achieve victory, showcasing the fighting spirit and excellent performance of the players.

Al-Ahly secured the first half against Pyramids with a 1-0 lead in the match held this Monday evening in the Nile League summit.

The first threat came in the 11th minute with a shot from outside the penalty area by Emam Ashour, which went over Ahmed El-Shenawy’s goal.
