Toyota has recalled Tundra and Lexus LX models from 2022 and 2023 due to several issues with the vehicle’s engine, which can cause it to stop suddenly, putting drivers’ lives at risk.
Toyota confirmed that the 3.4-liter V6 engine, equipped with a twin-turbocharger, had issues during manufacturing, which were discovered when the cars were used on public roads.
The recall involves 102,092 vehicles, including 98,568 Tundras and 3,524 LX600s, due to debris found in the engine from the manufacturing process that was not properly cleaned.
Any debris in the engine is problematic and, as one might imagine, it is severe enough to cause failure of the crankshaft main bearings.
On another note, the Renault Taliant uses a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo engine, producing a total power of 100 horsepower and 140 Newton meters of maximum torque, with front-wheel drive.
The price of the 2024 Renault Taliant starts from 799,000 EGP to 899,000 EGP for the second trim.
The Citroën C-Elysée belongs to the sedan family and is technically equipped with a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder engine with a total power of 115 horsepower, and a maximum torque of 150 Newton meters.
The speed is transmitted to the front-wheel drive system via a 6-speed automatic transmission, with an acceleration time of 12.7 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.
The Citroën C-Elysée is offered with prices starting from 890,000 EGP to 960,000 EGP.
