Turkey’s First Lady Emine Erdogan, wife of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, participated in the “One Heart for Palestine” summit, which she hosted at the Office of the Presidency of the Turkish Republic, at Dolmabahce Palace in Istanbul.
According to the Turkish presidency, the summit comes with the participation of wives of heads of state and government and special representatives from many countries of the world.
In a speech she delivered during the summit, Mrs. Emine Erdogan indicated that they did not meet today to talk about the Ministry of Education in the Gaza Strip, which announced the official end of the school year due to the martyrdom of many students.
She continued by saying: “Today, it is too late for children who console their brothers by saying, ‘Don’t be afraid, we will die soon,’ and who do not know a safer place than a coffin.”
She added: It is too late for the children who were asked the question: “What do you want to be in the future?” They said, “We are Palestinian children, we cannot grow up.”
And she added. We did not gather today to remember the children who play games of escaping bombs, carrying the wounded on a stretcher, digging through the rubble and being martyred.
First Lady Emine Erdogan confirmed: “We are here today to call for a ceasefire without any conditions or anything else.”
