Star Hisham Abbas will perform on August 19 as part of the Citadel Festival, following the success of his recent concert at the New Alamein Festival.
Hisham Abbas is set to present a variety of his old and new songs to his audience.
The Citadel Festival for Music and Singing, now in its 32nd edition, is approaching its launch.
Organized by the Egyptian Opera House under the presidency of Dr. Lameya Zayed and sponsored by Dr. Ahmed Fouad Henein, Minister of Culture, the festival will take place from August 15 to 28.
Over the course of two weeks, the festival will feature a wide range of artistic and musical events, including concerts by major singers such as Ali El-Hagar, Medhat Saleh, Hisham Abbas, Hamza Namira, Loai, Hany Shaker, Nadia Mostafa, Dina El Wedidi, Ihab Tawfik, and Mostafa Haggag, as well as musical performances by various bands and religious chants.
Dr. Lameya Zayed, President of the Opera House, stated that efforts have been made to develop the 32nd edition of the Citadel Festival to present a new look, aiming to offer high-quality artistic experiences and surprises that cater to all age groups, social, and cultural backgrounds.
She added that this year’s events will include 31 concerts, with two consecutive performances daily on the Al-Mahka stage, in addition to international performances in collaboration with the Cultural Relations Sector.
She also noted that the festival will feature a diverse range of musical and singing performances with a selection of prominent artists, and a special appearance by some 1990s stars, offering the audience a unique artistic experience at the historic Citadel of Salah al-Din.
The festival will combine the essence of heritage and authenticity, with increased seating capacity and large screens to broadcast the performances and facilitate audience enjoyment.
