The Omani government has announced plans to expand its affordable housing initiatives, aiming to provide homes for low-income families in both urban and rural areas.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has outlined a strategy to build more than 5,000 new housing units over the next five years.
These homes will be available to Omani citizens at subsidized rates, with priority given to those with the greatest financial need.
The initiative is part of a broader effort to reduce housing inequality in the country and ensure that all citizens have access to safe and affordable living conditions.
The government has also introduced new regulations to prevent speculative property practices, which have driven up housing prices in recent years.
By focusing on affordable housing, Oman hopes to improve the quality of life for its residents and create more cohesive communities.
