The total number of visitors arriving in the Sultanate of Oman until the end of July 2024 amounted to about 2.3 million visitors, an increase of 2.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
The tourism indicators report issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information indicated that July 2024 recorded the arrival of about 371,394 visitors, a decrease of 1.3 percent compared to July 2023, which recorded 376,376 visitors.
Gulf visitors accounted for 56 percent of the total visitors during July 2024, with a number of 208,485 visitors, followed by Asian visitors with 89,007 visitors, then Arabs with 48,221 visitors, Europeans with 13,379 visitors, Africans with 6,092 visitors, and visitors from the Americas with 5,271 visitors, in addition to 939 visitors from Oceania.
The number of hotel guests increased by 9.3 percent until the end of last July, recording 1,204,426 guests, while the number of room nights increased by 8 percent, recording 1,676,773 nights.
